Buddhist iconography can be found in many temples in Taiwan. Although many people in Taiwan claim to be Buddhist, perhaps only a few percent actually practice a relative pure form of Buddhism. For the rest Buddhism is just one element of the melting pot of religious practices in Taiwan. The images here aim to depict Buddhism in its more pure form, rather than the mixed form mentioned above.
